Meeting Guide Nina

We used “Your Thai Guide” on our recent trip to Bangkok.

The service was very good. We opted for a car and guide.

They arrived on time to pick us up and the van was clean and stocked with water and cool wipes. We visited several temples and sites and made a couple of special request stops we had as well.

Our guide Nina was well versed on the area and knew much of the history for places we visited. She was also able to help set up another show at the Siam Nirimat Theater for a good price.

We plan to use them again on our next trip to visit other areas near Bangkok

Nina was informative, fun and brought a personal perspective to our tour of Bangkok. The highlights were one of her favorite temples, the Golden Buddha temple, along with informative facts about Thai history and the best meal we had in Thailand! Nina educated us about Buddhist traditions and the way of life, which we found extremely interesting and moving. We loved learning about the different Buddha poses and faces and what they mean contextually in Thai history, both religious and political.

I cannot recommend Nina highly enough. If you want a personalized and incredible highlight real of Bangkok, pick Nina!

Mit Skytrain, TukTuk, Wassertaxi und dann sogar einem spontan eigens für uns gemietetem Longtail haben wir alles gesehen was wir uns gewünscht haben und weitere von Nina empfohlene Sehenswürdigkeiten erkundet.

I absolutely loved this tour! It was a brilliant way to see Bangkok. I was able to make a list of everything I wanted to see and do, and my guide determined the best way to make it all happen.

My guide for the day was Nina. She met me at my hotel and she was so friendly and easy to get along with, I instantly loved her. It was like having a friend show me around their city, and I definitely couldn’t have seen everything I wanted to as easily if she hadn’t been with me.

Having her there to navigate the public transportation, purchase tickets, speak Thai to the locals, use secret entrances, give me the history of all the temples and sites, explain the local customs, encourage me to try foods in the local market, and just generally be my friend-for-the-day was so cool. She even suggested some additional things to see that she figured out I would like, such as the flower market, and the river-front restaurant she chose for our lunch was the perfect blend of casual atmosphere and tasty food. By the end of the day, we were having a drink in Starbucks like old friends and I was sad to hug her goodbye when she dropped me off back at my hotel.

Nina was 100 the reason I enjoyed my day in Bangkok so much, and I very much appreciated her accommodating my off-hours tour it was from 11am until 7pm, as those were the hours I was available, even though she had another tour early the next morning.

We booked a one day tour with YourThaiGuide and was assigned local guide Nina. Nina touched base with us at our hotel the night before and was waiting for us promptly on schedule on the day. She speaks fluent English and is very friendly and approachable. She worked with us to plan the day according to our specific needs and throughout the day, showed herself flexible and streetsmart, able to change course if necessary to ensure we get the most out of our tour.

We tried all the different modes of transportation while under her guidance! It was a great experience be it going on the bus with locals, hazarding Bangkok traffic on a tuktuk or a lesiurely ride on the river boat. Nina made sure we got the local experience and also the photo opportunities we were looking for.

She helped us book a local uber type of service to ensure we have a means of returning to the hotel after our dinner cruise at a very reasonable rate, showing us where exactly to meet the driver. As it turned out we were late getting off the boat, and Nina called and texted us (beyond her call of duty as her day was already done) to make sure the driver waited for us. She ensured we were not ripped off by unscrupulous drivers who could be charging 5 times the rate because it was the festival of Loy Krathong and everybody was busy. We truly appreciate Nina’s help in this

Friends and I just finished a day tour with Nina. What a wonderful experience.

Nina was knowledgeable about her country and its rich history. She went out of her way to ensure that we had a tour that we can remember for a lifetime.

Her bubbly personality made it so that she fit right in with our small group of 3. It was like we had known her for a long time.

We picked Your Thai Guide following the excellent reviews and all I can say is that I’m so glad that we did.

We were two older couples who had booked three nights in Bangkok as part of a tour of Thailand and were looking for a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide to take us around the main sites of the city.

We picked Nina and couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She was friendly, knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and took us all round the main sites as well as the less touristy areas which we were keen to do as we wanted to experience the `real` Bangkok.

We gave Thai Guide a brief idea of what we wanted to do when we booked and then when Nina arrived at our hotel she went through a little more of what we wanted to see and gave some suggestions. We went on every form of transport imaginable including the local river ferry, local bus, Tuk Tuk (all five together) and of course walking.

She suggested we gave her a small amount of money each at the beginning of the day so that she could pay all the fares which including her own, we also paid for lunch but as the local transport and restaurants are so cheap it didn’t cost much. In the morning we did all the usual touristy sites and then Nina took us to a restaurant that she said did the best curry in Bangkok which must be true as its where the `Hairy Bikers` had filmed one of their cookery programmes.

Then in the afternoon we did a walking tour of part of the city including the local markets and Chinatown. Sometimes we were the only tourists there but that wasn’t an issue as Nina was very knowledgeable and helped us find places to buy the goodies we wanted to buy and the locals were all very friendly. We were lucky with the weather as it stayed dry but do make sure you take wet weather gear just in case.

I have to say it was money well spent and would thoroughly recommend booking a private tour guide with Thai Guide and would definitely choose Nina. If you are reading this thanks Nina for a brilliant day and hope you enjoyed your take home curry.

My family and I booked several days with Nina (and a driver) from Your Thai Guide. Our booking process was seamless, and communication was excellent and prompt.

We were assigned Nina and a driver to take us around Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, and nearby areas.

Nina was a bucket of Thai energy and enthusiasm. Not only did she know everything about Thailand, she was genuinely enthusiastic about her country and her people. We learned, we laughed, we ate, and we had great fun!

In addition to Nina, we had a driver who was safe and courteous … and was always ready with a cold bottle of water after we returned from one of the many incredible sights we visited.

Your Thai Guide is the best!

We spent two days with Nina – one in Bangkok and the other at Damnoen Saduak (totally turned into a market for tourists, not too interesting except for the experience of the boat ride itself) and at the Maeklong Railway Market (much more authentic and more fun).

Nina was great – attentive, caring, with such a positive attitude, great with our kids, full of information as well as practical advice (such as where to buy what, and where not to buy), and happy to help with whatever we wanted, whether or not in the original tour plan (for example, helping with shopping both at the market and also on a couple of places on the way, where we could find specific items that we were looking for).

Nina really made the days what they were – fun, interesting, and in our pace. It felt like touring with a friend.

We hired a guide for 2 days. You get 8 hours for a very reasonable price. You determine your itinerary and you have all inflexibility you want.

Our guide was Nina and she was great.

She knew. A lot, was flexible and funny and showed us some of the typical highlights, but also brought us to some local restaurants and we ended with a great Thai boxing match were she was able to get us on the picture with the winner of the main match.

We had many guides in different places, and Nina ranked in the top!

Also the communication with the management went very well, always responsive.

Nina took us to the Grand Palace, a few other temples, and Chinatown.

She was highly knowledgeable, professional, and personable.

Not only her professional and comprehensive knowledge on the history of Thailand and the characteristics of tourist spots we visited, but also the care and recommendation she gave during the trip. She know all the good spots to take nice photos and she is so patient to all the curious(maybe stupid:)) questions I asked.

Mijn dochter en ik gingen een ganse dag op stap met Nina. Het was een heel leerrijke en aangename dag. We bezochten Grand Palace, Wat Pho en Chinatown en vaarden een uurtje op de klonghs.

Nina wist veel te vertellen en deed dit ook op een aangename manier. Echt een aanrader als je op een dag Bangkok wil verkennen.

My guide was Nina and she was absolutely amazing.

She knew Bangkok like she built the place! We went to many different locations and had many amazing experiences that I would never have happened had I not had a local guide.
