While in Bangkok, I wanted to see as many temples as I could fit in to a day. Given that there are 30,000+ in the country, it is easy to fill it.
Yuut, my guide, was a former monk if 17 years and was very happy I had interest in temples and buddhism. He was able to answer the many questions I had about the religions, sites, and monks. I had such a good time, that I booked a second day and was fortunate that Yuut was available to take me to more sites to include Grand Palace.
We relied on public transportation. Taxis, tuk tuk, metro, and many boats. All were good but the one I particularly liked was on the small canals, the boat is best what I could call a water bus. It was a fun ride, but you got to see a bit of the back streets of the city along the way…. but be sure someone is there to lift the water screen or you may get splashed.
