Just as Ao Manao is well known for its beach, the gorgeous bay is also famous for its wild inhabitants, the Dusky Langur. Since they are on the endangered list, the Dusky Langurs are protected by the Thai government. Apart from playing on the trees and among themselves, these adorable Dusky Lagurs love a little bit of human attention.
Unlike most monkeys, the dusky langurs are extremely shy and unaggressive. Though they usually stay on the trees, you can bribe them to come near you with tiny treats. These cute creatures do not fight over food nor do they disturb the tourists.
The Dusky Langurs are timid and well behaved. They are used to people that you can get some wonderful poses from them for your pictures. The only problem is, they’re not always around, sometimes you might have to try twice.
