Siam Niramit Spectacular is a theater experience in Thailand that no visitor should miss. The Siam Niramit Spectacular show has been compared to similar stage shows seen in New York and Paris, and such comparisons bear true testament to the modern spectacle it has become. Housed within Bangkok’s Ratchada Theatre, the show’s panoramic stage is built to accommodate the large set pieces that magically recreate the ancient Kingdom of Siam.
During this must-see stage performance, more than one hundred performers in as many as five hundred costumes will take you on a journey to the enchanted Kingdom of Siam, a land beyond imagination, influenced by Thai literature, culture, and religious beliefs.
Customer feedback – “This is a Journey to the Enchanted Kingdom of Thailand that no one can miss.”
Siam Niramit is an eighty minute stage performance that portrays Thai cultural heritage, narrated in three acts. In each of the three acts you will witness amazing costumes, choreography, and special effects that will bring beautiful Thai landscapes to life right in front of your eyes.
The first act of the show is titled ‘Journey Back in History’ and the performances draw attention to a few of the major historical periods of the Kingdom as well as the diverse cultures of the Siamese people, from the grand procession of the Lanna Kingdom in the North to the colorful and lively commerce on the Southern peninsula. You will be entertained by the cheerful Northeastern peoples as they blend song and dance into their daily life within the ancient eastern Khmer empire, and you will be astonished by the hardworking farmers of the central Kingdom of Ayutthaya’s fertile Chao Phraya River basin.
The second act titled ‘Journey Beyond Imagination: The Three Realms’ reveals how, despite the diverse cultures and livelihoods within the ancient Kingdom, all Thai people are bound together by the Law of Karma. The Law of Karma dictates how good deeds or bad deeds practiced in the earthly world, in the present life, will ultimately determine your next life. The three realms are Fiery Hell, Mystical Himapaan Forest, the boundary between the human world and heaven where mythical creatures exist, and Heaven, home to all forms of heavenly beings who praise Lord Indra.
The third, and final, act is quite festive indeed as the stage becomes the centerpiece for some of Thailand’s most joyous festivals including Loy Krathong and Songkran, festivals where gathering of merit is made possible in this present life. In this final act, the performers take you on a journey of old and new styles of merit making festivals, which harmoniously combine religious ceremony with colorful and joyful celebration.
Customer feedback – “An astonishingly artistic creation! Well directed and an absolute pleasure to watch. Real elephants walking on the stage and rainfall were big surprises.”
Highlights of the Siam Niramit Spectacular show are the amazing special effects, that transform the stage into panoramic landscapes featuring running rivers, realistic rainfall, thunder and lighting, and the grandeur of the performers in their costumes as they present traditional dances, colorful festivals, and the everyday work and life of people throughout the ancient Kingdom of Siam.
