When we first moved to Thailand this summer, we toured Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and the Golden Triangle. We used large commercial tour services, but the experiences were mixed. While all the guides were prompt, only some were truly knowledgeable. Others felt cheesy, steering us into tourist traps like gem, silk, and jade stores.
Knowing we’d want to recommend a better option to future visitors, we did some research and found Natt Opasanon at Your Thai Guide. We met over coffee to discuss our interests and her expertise, then made a personalized plan together. Natt is knowledgeable, friendly, and speaks English fluently.
She took us off the usual temple track and showed us a different side of Bangkok. We traveled by rail and ferry to the National Museum for history and a look at the Royal Chariots, followed by lunch in Chinatown and a long walking tour through its shops and markets. We finished the day at the snake farm with an afternoon presentation and museum visit.
Natt answered every question easily and shared helpful local tips we wouldn’t have found on our own. She kept the energy up and made sure we stayed hydrated throughout the day. She was a genuine pleasure to spend time with, and we highly recommend her.
