The tour with Swai was super. We were bleary eyed in the morning from recently arriving in Bangkok, and it was fabulous to start with a relaxing private boat trip along the beautiful canals to a local floating food market rarely visited by tourists.
The local market sights and smells were wonderful and Swai really looked after us, finding us coconut ice-cream, crispy pork and showing us the local village hall and helping us to understand the flora and fauna around. He was a very informative guide, answering questions as diverse as income inequality, Burmese refugees and history of the monarchy.
He was very polite, unassuming and respectful and did a great job at finding us somewhere to relax when we were hot and tired following the Grand Palace Experience. We then walked around the backstreets, a fascinating insight into Thai life, before arriving at the reclining buddha and massage school where we relaxed over a thai foot massage. Then it was off to the boxing.
Again, Swai was very patient and helped get us beers and popcorn and again gave us a very good insight into Muay Thai culture and the different fighters. Thank you very much Swai, we loved our day with you and wish you all the very best. Julia and Michael
