Great tour, the best way to discover Bangkok, so many things to see in a short time so having a guide is great!

Hello, I am Chok. It is a pleasure to meet you. My name Chok, which when pronounced in Thai language sounds a lot like the English word Joke, might mean that I am a bit of a jokester at heart. I tell my english friends to call me Joker because it is easy for them to remember and it sets a light and friendly mood for the day. I love being a tour guide and, while I can be serious when I need to be, I would rather if we are able to share a laugh and enjoy ourselves during our time together.
I would be very happy to take you on a private tour around Bangkok or even further afield. I especially enjoy adventure activities and getting out in the middle of of it all, but don’t think that I wouldn’t be just as happy taking you to a collection of temples and historical sites. I guess I am truly passionate about every good place I can show you in Thailand.
Why does everything have to be so serious? Let’s share a laugh and day together - Joke
Book a tour with me if:
- You like getting in the middle of it all
- You enjoy adventure activities
- You don’t mind spending the day with a jokester
Let me tell you more about myself:
My own travel & professional experience
I have been to many provinces of Thailand and I have also visited neighboring countries in Asia. I have been a guide for more than 12 years now. Before being a tour guide I worked in customer service at the Bangkok International Airport, so I’ve been helping travelers for a long time. I enjoy learning about other cultures as much, if not more, than I love sharing about my own.
My personal goals & Interests
To continue improving my skills to be able to learn and have new and unique experiences every day with interesting and fun people from all over the world.
Please feel free to contact us and together we can create a personalized itinerary for your amazing trip to Thailand. Joke is available 7 days a week from US$116 for you to 8 hours as a tour guide in and around the Bangkok area.

I booked two tours with Your Thai Guide; one of Bangkok city sights and the other out to Ayutthaya. The service and consideration of the company, and our guide Joker, made our experience so special.
Coming to Thailand during the mourning period for King Rama IX meant some of the sites were closed, free, or had different hours. Joker did a wonderful job modifying my itinerary to accommodate these closures and still make the overall experience one I won’t forget!
I would highly suggest the Ayutthaya day trip option. It was wonderful to get out of the city and see the historical sites of the old Capitol. Having an air conditioned van with cold water and cold towels between the stops really helped this American manage the Thai heat!

We highly recommend this tour. Do not try seeing the city or the temples on your own, you will miss out on so much.
Our guide Joker was friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, prepared, intelligent, thoughtful, fun, and an expert when it came to Thai cooking and way of life. He made the complex history of Bangkok very easy to understand, and he made us want to learn more.
Joker pushed us to try new things and to fully respect the customs and history of Bangkok. He made sure that we were appropriately dressed and appeared respectful when entering temples. He taught us a few Thai phrases and how to interact with vendors, monks, and fellow citizens of Bangkok.
We learned and experienced so much in a short amount of time. Joker was a lot fun and interesting in learning from us as well. His love for Thailand and the city of Bangkok was very easy to see.
His passion for spicy Thai food was contagious and pushed us to enjoy and experience as much as we could while in the country. The smile and laugh of the Thai people is genuine and he showed us how much this country has to offer.

We spent 2 full days in Bangkok (and it’s surroundings) with our guide, Joke. From day one, when we tried to book a guide (with a driver and a car), the staff at YTG were very responsive and helpful. Our email communication was very quick and we nailed down all the landmarks we must visit months before our arrival (Thank you, Chris & Natt).
We gave them a deposit via PayPal after we finalized our itinerary and settled the rest once the tour ended. However, they are also very flexible if you want to tweak your schedule later on.
On our first day of excursion, Joke took us to the Flower Market, Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Chathuchak Weekend Market, The River and Canal Tour (via private boat) and we ended our day by visiting Thip Samai for dinner (a famous Pad Thai restaurant in Bangkok-delicious!).
The day after, we left the city and visited the Train Market, Damnoen Saduak (The original floating market), a palm sugar plantation, an elephant park and a Tiger Zoo (highly recommended).
Joke was more like a historian as he explained everything so thoroughly as we walked through all the different sites. He was also very entertaining and funny. He carried his tablet around and took pictures along the way so we did not have to keep taking pictures from our cameras. We really appreciated that since we were able to fully enjoy the experience.
He emailed all the pictures to us before we left Bangkok for Krabi; those photos are just absolutely brilliant. We really enjoyed our short visit in Bangkok and we were beyond thrilled and happy with the service YTG provided on both days. it did not feel rushed and It was also very reasonable given that it was a private tour for 2 adults including a comfy oversized air-conditioned minivan and a driver.
We did not have to wait in line to enter any of the sites. The driver also made sure that we had cold towels and cold bottled water after each site visit. We highly recommend these guys for your trip to explore Bangkok. You will not be disappointed!

We really enjoyed the eight hours that we got together with our guide who called himself Joker. He was very professional and told us so much about Thailand, their culture, history and religion.
According to our wishes he had planned the day perfect so that we could see and visit all the things we wanted. We have nothing to complain about and we gladly recommend Wallop ‘Joker’ Kittiwititkun to anyone else traveling to Bangkok.

Your Thai Guide was easy to book with from the beginning, communication was clear and excellent. I picked Joker as my guide, because, his reviews are great, and he seemed like someone I would get on nicely with, personality-wise. My intuition was correct!
We toured the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and had lunch after. We could have done more, but I had only been in Bangkok a little over 24 hours, and was still adjusting to the time change, so I voluntarily cut our trip a little short to go get some rest.
Joker is an amazing guide. From the time he met me at my hotel, he was showing me and explaining things on the cab ride to the Grand Palace. He went over important emergency phone numbers that I needed to know as well.
When we got to the Grand Palace, Joker was able to navigate the crowds smoothly, and get us in quickly.
Once inside the Grand Palace, (the size and beauty is staggering!) Joker took me around to the many sites, explaining what I was seeing, the history, and cultural context. This was priceless! It made the visit so much more richly rewarding and meaningful. In addition, as a solo traveler, he was very helpful taking pictures of me to share with friends at home.
Then we went to Wat Pho, where the enormous reclining Buddha resides. It was wonderful as well, much as the GP, with Joker guiding me through the site, its history, taking pictures, and sharing the Thai culture with me, as he clearly enjoys. (Tip: Don’t point your feet at the Buddha!)
Though I am certain that Joker has taken guests to these sites many times, it never felt scripted, or that he was just going through the motions.
At the end we had lunch and adjourned, because I was tired. I mentioned that I was interested in seeing the Muay Thai Live show…Joker hooked me up with tickets, and provided clear directions for transportation to the venue. Fantastic! He also gave me a card with his phone number, insisting that I call at any time for any reason.
Thank you, Joker, and thank you, Your Thai Guide!

Joker was a great guide around Bangkok. He took us to several of the top sites- Wat Pho, Grand Palace- and was flexible on tweaking the schedule during the day when we decided we wanted to spend more time in Chinatown.
I really appreciate the flexibility on start time and schedule. We learned a lot and Joker’s information really enriched the experience of visiting these spots. Booking was extremely easy. Highly recommended!

We had a fabulous day exploring Bangkok with Joker. We traveled by a myriad of transport options – tuk tuk, MRT, Skytrain, taxi and ferry. Joker’s knowledge of the venues we visited and of Thai history was exceptional. There wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer. He was also incredibly patient with our tired and grumpy four year old. We would highly recommend him.
We only booked two days prior and communication with the tour company was easy and hassle free. The ability to tailor make our itinerary was a deciding factor in choosing this tour.

Well worth the trip we as a family of 6, had with Joke showing us around for 2 days within Bangkok itself. Soft spoken, very informative and lots of patience accommodating our requests and enquiries.

Joker was fantastic. He took us to the ancient capital and surrounding areas and made a great day for us all. We laughed (added at least 32 minutes to the length of our lives), he took us to a fun locals place for traditional lunch, and took pictures of us during our touring and then shared them with us.
We recommend him to everyone!

We booked Joker for a day of palace/temples/river sightseeing in Bangkok with our two children (11&14). He was a really knowledgeable guide, who spoke good English and came up with an itinerary based on our suggestions plus his suggestion of a longtail boat trip on the river which we really enjoyed.
Easy booking process and received emails and a telephone call from Joke the day before confirming things. Highly recommended.

We travelled as family with 2 kids (3&8 yrs old). We can say that Joker made our stay in Bangkok pleasant and more comfortable. We all know that travelling with kids is not an easy thing to do but he was very patient and helpful and you can really rely to him on everything! Thanks joker!

I would like to thank Joker for an amazing day in Bangkok. We had asked to be taken to visit the Grand Palace , Taling Chan floating market, The Golden Buddah and Jim Thompson silk house. Not only did we visit all the above in one day but we totally experienced it. Joker was so informative and in one day I learn so much about the people and the history of Thailand, I would never have accomplished this had I done the tour on my own.
Joker took us in Tuk tuk , taxi and long tail boat all of which were a great experience and not having to negotiate with local drivers was a blessing. The Grand Palace is a must see on Bangkok visit and you really need a guide there and a couple of hours to fully appreciate it. The Taling Chan floating market was all and more than what I expected travelling there by longtail boat was an experience in itself and Joker ordered the most amazing lunch for us.We only had a day in Bangkok and thanks to Joker we had an amazing day

We had Joker for a day and had the BEST time in Bangkok with him! Joker knows his history (he must have been a good student! -ha!) and how to get around the city efficiently.
Our kids (ages 12, 18, 20) enjoyed him as well. Joker is very entertaining. He took tons of pictures of us and sent them to us in a timely manner.
We were very happy to have Joker show us around Bangkok!

This is our first visit to Thailand and we just returned from a wonderful tour of the Grand Palace and Chinatown.
We booked our 8 am – 4 pm tour online on short notice and it went very smoothly. Our guide, Joker, picked us up at our hotel and took us to the Grand Palace. We were able to jump all of the cues and get access to the palace even though it was incredibly busy. Our tour was fabulous, Joker knew all of the history and was able to explain it all to us. Our oldest daughter got heatstroke and Joker very quickly arranged for an ambulance to pick her up and take care of her. Within 20 minutes she was feeling better and we were on our way. Amazingly enough there was no charge!
Because she wasn’t feeling well we were unable to continue so we went back to our hotel to rest for the afternoon. Joker was kind enough to agree to pick us up at 5 PM and take us to Chinatown then. We met and he took us on a fabulous tour through all of the different areas of Chinatown. We were able to do things that we never would’ve been able to do on our own. He took us to many different street food vendors and ordered us dishes that we would never have known to even try!
We would highly recommend a private tour with Joker. He was very kind, knowledgeable and flexible. It certainly made the most of our few days in Bangkok!

Last Friday Joke was our guide for a long day (8am – 10pm) visiting: Floating markets, war cemetery/museum, Bridge over the River Kwai, Tiger Temples and the Elephant camp. There is a fair bit of travel to get to these sites but Joke entertained us with lots of interesting facts and plenty of his own tales and jokes thrown in. His English is really good and he was also very good at balancing out the entertainment with time for us to snooze. Our driver Mit, was also very professional getting us from each attraction safely and comfortably while Joke explained everything.
We highly recommend Joke – very good value for money and great company and while it was a long day it was a great way to make the most of our last day in Bangkok (with all our luggage) as we were picked up at the hotel and dropped at the airport for our flight to Europe. Perfect!

I just came back from a visit to Thailand and had Joke as our Tour Guide. This is the 2nd time I have booked a tour with Joke. He is an excellent tour guide. His knowledge of Thai history is very good and he makes the tour lots of fun. I plan to book him again in October when I bring my sister for her first visit to Thailand.

My husband and I had booked Joker on short notice for a one day tour of Bangkok. From 8 to 4:30, not only did he cover the highlights of temples, markets, and river cruising, but he managed to make the tour beyond sightseeing and gave us better insight into Thai culture. He also quickly figured out that we love trying food that is new to us, so it turned out to be part food tour as well!
Needless to say, Joker is very adaptable to your pace and interests. He brings Thai history to life as he takes you around the city via train, boat, and tuk tuk. He is very professional, yet friendly. He also genuinely cares for his guests… giving advice, important phone numbers and directions, and how not to get scammed. Overall we had an amazing time with Joker. We highly HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a tour guide.
