Spent two days with Apple in Bangkok, and it was an unforgettable experience.
From the beginning, she really listened to what we wanted to see and created a fantastic itinerary around our interests. Not only did she make sure we had plenty of time at the places we had requested, but she also added hidden gems we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. Her dedication was clear, and it felt like she genuinely wanted us to have the best time possible.
She definitely succeeded. Apple was incredibly knowledgeable about the places we visited and made navigating the city feel effortless. Her English was excellent, which made communication smooth and stress-free. When we mentioned our interest in visiting a shop where handmade metal bowls for monks are crafted, she took us straight there.
This traditional Thai craft is slowly fading away, but Apple translated everything as the artisan shared his process. Later, when we brought up Thai silk, she surprised us by bringing us to a silk weaver who had worked with Jim Thompson. Once again, she helped translate, giving us insight into the weaving process and the man’s history with the silk trade.
We also explored local markets where Apple handled all the bargaining and made sure we got local prices; such a fun experience. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a more memorable trip.
