We booked a one day tour with YourThaiGuide and was assigned local guide Nina. Nina touched base with us at our hotel the night before and was waiting for us promptly on schedule on the day. She speaks fluent English and is very friendly and approachable. She worked with us to plan the day according to our specific needs and throughout the day, showed herself flexible and streetsmart, able to change course if necessary to ensure we get the most out of our tour.
We tried all the different modes of transportation while under her guidance! It was a great experience be it going on the bus with locals, hazarding Bangkok traffic on a tuktuk or a lesiurely ride on the river boat. Nina made sure we got the local experience and also the photo opportunities we were looking for.
She helped us book a local uber type of service to ensure we have a means of returning to the hotel after our dinner cruise at a very reasonable rate, showing us where exactly to meet the driver. As it turned out we were late getting off the boat, and Nina called and texted us (beyond her call of duty as her day was already done) to make sure the driver waited for us. She ensured we were not ripped off by unscrupulous drivers who could be charging 5 times the rate because it was the festival of Loy Krathong and everybody was busy.
