Yuut asked us what places are in our wish list. Then he sets up the itinerary, (and recommended a few more) which includes local transports – tuktuk, long tail boats and ferry boats – rides we would not take if travelling without a local guide. The travel time probably totalled less than an hour (of no traffic, on a Friday, in Bangkok). I can bet you will be inside your van or bus for at least 2-3 hours covering the same route.
Our itinerary included Wat Pho, Grand Palace, Wat Arum and Jim Thompson House – and at our own pace (not like the rush atmosphere of a regular tour). Took us 8 hours, which included a leisure lunch at the Navy Club and travel time of 1 hour.
Yuut, being a former monk for 11 years, regaled us with his anecdotes and stories. Very knowledgeable, polite and overall an excellent host.
This is the only time my wife and I (and my daughter) felt safe, did not worry about what transport to take, no haggling and at a pace of my own liking. This is pampering at its highest form.
