This tour was totally worth it! My guide, Kiki, was absolutely excellent. We agreed on a plan for the day, and she customized it perfectly to fit my interests. We used a mix of transport; Skytrain, river boat, and tuk-tuk, which made the whole experience really fun and immersive.
We kicked things off at the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha, which is a definite must-see. Kiki shared the history behind it all and even helped take photos at the best spots. I got to join a theatre performance with English subtitles and popped into the Museum of Royal Family Textiles. There was even time to grab some great gifts at the souvenir shop.
Kiki took me to some amazing local gems like a cozy coffee bar and the bustling Flower Market. One highlight was visiting “The Old Siam” shopping mall for a gourmet food show, where I got to try a wide range of local dishes including durian with sticky rice, which was such a cool experience!
We ended the day with another tuk-tuk ride. I even lost my glasses at a crossroads, but the driver quickly turned around and rescued them, thankfully, no cars ran over them. We had such a good laugh about it! All in all, I got to truly experience Bangkok in just one day, and without Kiki, it would’ve been mission impossible. She was simply fantastic!
