The Wat Huay Mongkol or the Huay Mongkol Temple is home to an extremely large statue of Luang Phor Tuad. This is why all roads lead to this temple every weekend, as countless of Thai Buddhist pilgrims make the trip to the Temple in order to show respect.
However, it’s not just the pilgrims that make the trip. A lot of tourists consider the Temple as a tourist attraction. With its close proximity to Hua Hin, checking out this attraction is a must especially since it’s just 10 kilometers away from Hua Hin.
But remember, this is still a holy place that was once the home of the Southern Thai monk – a monk that was made famous by the miracles that he performed. With these miracles, it’s not hard to see why locals and tourists perform routines around it for good luck. After taking pictures, a lot of tourists also go on an elephant ride around the area so you may want to check it out.
