Your Thai Guide

I had a terrific day in Bangkok with Swai as my guide.

He listened to my interests and was careful to suggest things he thought I would most appreciate, and he was right. His lovely sense of humor, patience, and storytelling abilities made the day very special. Occasionally he would set up a joke or “surprise” reveal of a location or piece of information that was simply delightful. We visited all of the major Bangkok landmarks, and while we definitely “moved” around the city, I never felt rushed or uncomfortable.

Highly recommend the whole experience!

I booked the day via Get Your Guide. Shortly after booking, Your Thai Guide sent me a confirmation e-mail.

I picked my sites to see and e-mailed them back. I have booked four months in advance to my trip to Thailand. Approximately a month before my arrival in Bangkok, Your Thai Guide again confirmed my booking and sent me a photo of Swai, my guide and asked for a photo from me, for easy recognition. On the 25 April Swai picked me up in my hotel in Bangkok and we shortly discussed the planning of the day. We then explored Bangkok with public transport.

I had an amazing day with Swai, he explained a lot and was always joking around and we had a nice time. We were finished with my planned activities earlier than thought and he came up with other nice things to see, especially the King’s Art Exhibition. I can definitely recommend this private tour in Bangkok, especially with Swai!

This is the perfect way to see a lot of Bangkok if you have limited time.

We returned to Bangkok 6 months later with another group of family members who never visited Bangkok and we did not hesitate to contact YTG again. We spent the entire day going to all the landmarks in the city, accompanied by Swai.

We then hired him again a week later to take us to the Floating Market, the Train Market and the Tiger Sanctuary.

We highly recommend the YTG team from the initial booking, email correspondence and most importantly, the fun factor! We were with Joker back in September 2016 and he was equally fun.

Our family spent two days touring with Swai and had an amazing time. Swai was a dedicated guided who did everything in his power to ensure we had a great tour. I was impressed by how easily Swai was able to make adjustments to suit our time constraints and wants as the tour progressed each day.

He endured stifling heat with great stamina and no complains to walk with us to each location, chase down tuk tuks for us ect. He knew that our hotel was difficult to find so he wrote out detailed instructions for us to show cab drivers so that we could get around with ease when we were not with him. He worked overtime for us and almost didn’t let us pay him for it. He was such a nice man, very knowledgeable and above all dedicated.

I would recommend Swai to anyone looking for a personalized guide experience and for a guide that will go above and beyond for his customers.

This has to be one of the easiest 5 star ratings that I’ve given because I literally can’t praise our tour guide Swai highly enough. I wish there were more stars to give!

Swai met us at our hotel and we had a brief chat about what we’d like/wouldn’t like to do on our tour. We opted to Travel by public transport which was great and an experience in it’s self. We went to the Grand Palace and Swai took time to explain the site and tell us about Thai History and culture. He was so informative and insightful and a joy to be around. We also saw some local markets and took a water taxi across the river and then a canal tour.

After the canal tour we stopped at Wat Arun then back over the river to Wat Pho and then for a walk around China town. We then went for a wonderful Thai meal and Swai recommended wonderful dishes. We then climbed the Golden Mount and wondered around for a while.

Swai made us feel so welcome and comfortable in a big City, he was extremely caring, making sure we had enough water and were staying out of the sun where we could. We’ve learnt so much from him, and can’t recommend him and this company enough.
